Thank you so much for sharing your story with others.
It is so helpful for people to know that they are not alone in dealing
with this diagnosis.
We do ask that you only share stories about hydrocephalus that was
diagnosed during the pregnancy or at birth (congenital hydrocephalus).
These cases are very different than ones that occur due to trauma or
other factors later in life. Information that most people find useful
are: which week during the pregnancy was the diagnosis,
what was the cause of the hydrocephalus (i.e. aqueductal stenosis, Chiari II, etc.),
when was the shunt placed and what was the long term outcome.
Depending on how far along you are in the process, you may or may not
have all of this information yet, but please feel free to share whatever
you can.
I don't have any way for you to add pictures of your own yet. I am
working on that, however until then you can email them to me
here and I will
put them in your story for you. You may enter standard HTML tags
for line breaks or adding links. Please do not post questions here,
this is not a monitored forum. If you have questions you can
email them to me here
and I will try to answer them.
